Mr. Wright was born on December 23, 1934, in Louisville, the son of the late Earl and Bernice Wright. He worked as a licensed plumber for over 35 years for Buford Plumbing, Wrights Plumbing and the Grand Gulf Nuclear Plant. In retirement he worked as the transportation coordinator for the DAV for 12 years.
Survivors include: his wife of 31 years, Ouida Bloom Newton Wright of Brandon; step children, Jeremy Eric Smith (Casey) of Brandon; Timothy Newton (Susan) of Pearl; Llew Newton (Frances) of Lena; Bob Newton (Brenda) of Terry; Wanda Johnson (Fred) of Jackson; Gilda Knight (Les) of Northport, VA; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Smith, Jeremy EriK Smith, Justin Bentley Smith of Brandon; brothers, Timothy Mack Wright, M.D. (Susan) of Madison; Thomas Terry Wright (Carla) of Memphis, TN; William Kerry Wright (Katherine) of Southaven; Jeffrey Wright of Louisville; sisters, Debbie Luke (Frank), Delores Nowell, Julie Carter (Kenny) all of Louisville; numerous nieces and nephews and caregiver, Holly Schultz of Brandon.
