William Brelan Jackson

William Brelan Jackson, 92, a retired military serviceman and veteran in the U.S. Army and Navy, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at his home near Ackerman, MS. Funeral Services for Mr. Jackson will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at 3PM at Ackerman Baptist Church in Ackerman, MS. Interment will follow in the Antioch Baptist cemetery in Winston County near Louisville, MS. Visitation will be held Saturday February 20, 2016 from 5PM until 8PM at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS. Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman, MS is in charge of all arrangements.  

Mr. Jackson was born August 11, 1923 near Sturgis, MS in Oktibbeha County. He was a member of the Ackerman Baptist Church in Ackerman, MS.

Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his parents, Burnice and Velma CrowsonJackson, three sons, Brelan Bruce Jackson, Patrick Jackson, and Mark Jackson. He is survived by his wife Marilyn Jackson, sons, Ed Jackson, Kevin Mason Jackson, and Mike Jackson, daughters, Elizabeth Colene Jackson, Carolyn Jackson Case, SusanJackson Santucci, Aime Cathy Jackson Jones, Cathy Dawn Jackson, and Julie JacksonLewis. Mr. Jackson is also survived by 24 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Morgan Chapel Baptist Church Youth Department and/or the Baptist Children's Village.
