Seretia Ann Nowell

Mrs. Seretia Ann Nowell, 73, died Saturday, February 27, 2016, at her home in Noxapater, MS. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 2nd, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Antoine Stokes and Rev. Timmy Flake officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. until the service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in Sunrise Cemetery in Noxapater, MS. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.


Mrs. Nowell was born December 4, 1942, in Winston County, MS. She was a retired clerk at Wal-Mart, an employee for Spartus Corporation for 23 years, and a member of First Pentecostal Church of Noxapater. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Nowell; and her parents, Penny and Elisha Flake.

She is survived by her daughter, Janice (Dale) Foster of Noxapater, MS; two sisters, Peggy Cox of Mobile, AL, and Betty Miles of Meridian, MS; a brother, Rev. Ernest Flake of Louisville, MS; three grandchildren, Kimberly Williams, Carrie Hernandez, and Lisa Dearing; and seven great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Richard Duncan, Michael Duncan, Chuck Cox, Robert Flake, Anthony Flake, and Johnny Creekmore. Honorary pallbearers are Bud Fulton, Mickey Tanksley, and Jimmy Flake.
