Ms. Estes was born May 29, 1938, the only child of Vardaman and Ava Knight Palmer. She was a member of Beth Eden Lutheran Church; and was fully devoted to her family. Beverly loved cooking for and entertaining her family and friends; she always had an “open door” policy. After raising her children, she pursued a degree as a registered nurse and worked as a nurse practioner until retirement.
Beverly is survived by two daughters, Beth Lipscomb and husband, Larry, of Ellijay, Georgia; and Brigitte Cooper and husband, Thomas, of Louisville. One of her greatest joys was being “Granny” to her grandchildren: Stephanie Perez; Candice Cefalu and husband, Bubba; and Kim Doolittle and husband, Todd. Later she enjoyed being “Gigi” to six great-grandchildren: Ava Perez; Lily Perez; Cooper Cefalu; Layla Cefalu; Lynnlee Cefalu; and Neely Doolittle. Also left to mourn her passing is a special friend, Charles William Haggard. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Serving as pallbearers will be Robin Barnett, Bubba Cefalu, Todd Doolittle, Joe Lowrey, Ricky Reynolds, and Jakie Sullivan. Memorials may be given to Beth Eden Lutheran Church, P. O. Box 508, Louisville, MS 39339.
The family would like to express their appreciation for the compassionate care given by Quality Health during their mother’s illness. They would also like to express a special thanks to her team of caregivers: Annette, Cindy, Rita, and Dr. Gentry.
