Hazel Emmajean Rhodes Smith

Hazel Emmajean Rhodes Smith, 85, a retired Garran Factory worker, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2015 at her residence near Sturgis, MS. Mrs.Smith was born October 15, 1930.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Smith will be held on Sunday November 8, 2015 at 2PM at Coleman Funeral Home Chapel in Ackerman, MS. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Baptist cemetery near Bradley, MS. Mike Sanders and Frankie Tomlinson will officiate the service. Visitation will be held Sunday November 8, 2015 from 1PM until Service Time at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS. Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman, MS is in charge of all funeral arrangements.


Mrs. Smith is survived by her son, Tommy (Cindy) Smith of Sturgis, MS. Three daughters, Diane (Jim) Morgan, Jenny Lollar, and Emma (John) Nason all of Sturgis, MS. A brother, Jimmy (Barbara) Rhodes of Brighton, TN. A Sister-in-Law, Betty Rhodes of Louisville, MS. Mrs. Simpson is also survived by 7 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Rhodes was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert (Chuck) Smith; Grand Daughters, Joanie Smith Tingle and Natalie Morgan Nason; Two Sisters; Mae McKay and Louise Patterson; Four Brothers; Harvey Rhodes, Horace Rhodes, Hubert Rhodes, and Charles Rhodes.
