Mr. Thadis (Red) Misso

Mr. Thadis (Red) Misso, 81, of Wahalak, MS passed away at his residence on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 after a long illness. He was born at home in Kemper County, MS on June 18, 1934 to the late Rocko and Tiny Young Misso. Mr. Misso lived in Kemper County all his life and worked as a construction worker. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Misso’s funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 25 at 2:00 P.M. at Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel in Macon, MS. Bro. Gerald Butler will officiate at the services. Interment will follow in Mohegan Cemetery near Shuqualak, MS. Visitation will be on Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Mr. Misso is survived by two sons: Danny Misso of Louisville, MS and Leon Misso of Wahalak, MS and by three step-sons: Tim Jewell and John (Elaine) Jewell of Macon, MS and Doug (Charlotte) King of Philadelphia, MS. He is also survived by two sisters: Frances Roberson of Scooba, MS and Lena Martin of Greenville, MS and by twelve grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Erlene Misso; one son: Tommy Jewell; four sisters: Zavie Turnage, Margaret Tharp, Clara Knight and Blanch Knight and by one brother: Samuel Misso.
