Mr. Duran was born April 21, 1937, to John and Lessie Roberson Duran. He was a member of Noxapater Baptist Church; a retired retail salesman; and an avid fan of Cleveland Indians baseball.
Bob is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ruth Hollingsworth Duran of Noxapater; and by three sons: Ronnie Duran and wife, Debbie, also of Noxapater; Donny Duran and wife, Sherry, of Louisville, Mississippi; and Tim Paul and wife, Melanie, of San Leon, Texas. One of his greatest joys was being “Pop” to seven grandchildren: Josh Duran and wife, Audria; Jessica Alford and husband, Kory; Meagan Duran and fiancé, Keith Alexander; Candace Trosper and husband, Brad; Clay Duran and wife, Kayla; Timothy Allen Paul, Jr.; and Cody Lee Paul and wife, Elizabeth Lynn Paul; as well as a host of great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn his passing are three sisters, Gracie Kelly; Nan Baysinger; and Mary Kugle; and three brothers, William Duran; Howard Duran; and Ralph Duran and wife, Murle. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Lennie Ree Ballard; and four brothers, Homer, Horace, Lewis, and Frank Duran.
Serving as pallbearers will be Cliff Cockrell, Clay Duran, Dencie Duran, Dennis Duran, Josh Duran, and Mark Kugle. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Duran and Jimmy Wayne Kemp.
