Billy Joe Pritchett

Billy Joe Pritchett, 74, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2015, at Choctaw Nursing Center in Ackerman, Mississippi. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, in the Nowell Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Dempsey officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service from 1 p.m. until service time at Nowell Massey Funeral Home in Louisville. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Pritchett was born August 12, 1941, to Dixie and Onie Champion Pritchett. He was a member of Wess Chapel Baptist Church and a Mason. He has been employed for 42 years by Rives and Reynolds Lumber Company as Plant Manager.

Billy is survived by his wife of 55 years, Anne Pritchett; two daughters, Angie Dempsey and husband, Jimmy; and Penny Hill and husband, David, all of Louisville; and by two sons, Matthew Pritchett and wife, Melissa, also of Louisville; and Phillip Pritchett and wife, Jan, of Hampton, Georgia. He is also survived by two sisters, Eloise Walters and Myrle Nelson; and a brother, Johnny Pritchett and wife, Nita. He loved being “Papaw” to four granddaughters: Ashley Hill Darby and husband, Justin; Kimberly Dempsey Ingram and husband, Stephen; Allison Hill Cole and husband, Kevin; and Kayla Dempsey and fiancĂ© Chase Fuller. Mr. Pritchett was “Papaw” to three great-grandchildren: Brooklyn and Delta Darby; and Grayson Ingram. He was preceded in death by his son, David Pritchett; his parents, his sister, Laura Newton; and his brother, Dixie Clay Pritchett, Jr.
