Carol Culpepper

Carol Culpepper, 68, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, August 21, 2015, at her residence in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be Saturday, August 22, 2015, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 23, 2015, at Murphy Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Mayo and Rev. Terrell Stringer officiating. Interment will follow in Murphy Creek Cemetery.
Mrs. Culpepper was born June 18, 1947, to Woodard and Velma Williamson Stokes. She was a member of Murphy Creek Baptist Church of Louisville and she was a housewife.

Carol is survived by her husband of 49 years, Duane Culpepper; her mother-in-law, Nadine Culpepper; three daughters: Angie Boatner and husband, Gary; Dane Bane and husband, Jay; and Gwen Davis and husband, Chad; and her god-son, Lance Blanton and wife, Crystal, all of Louisville. Mrs. Culpepper is also survived by two sisters, Cathen Rogers and husband, “Bubby” and Charlotte Wright and husband, Terry; and by three brothers, Edward Stokes and wife, Betty; Carl Noel Stokes; and “Pee Wee” Stokes and wife “Hon” all of Louisville. One of her greatest joys was being “Maw” to her three grandchildren: Marty Boatner, Joseph Boatner, and Brittany Davis. She was also “Maw” to her god-grandchildren: Hayden, Beaux, and Ty Blanton. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister-in-law, Peggy Stokes.


Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Eaves, Rusty Foster, Ricky Miller, Jeff Rogers, Junior Stewart, and Jay Stokes. Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Kelley, Coty Stokes, and Mica Stokes. Memorials may be given to The Baptist Children's Village, P. O. Box 27, Clinton, MS 39060-0027.
