Addie White


Addie Lee White, 88, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May 17, 2015, at her residence in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Visitation will be Friday, May 22, 2015, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2015, in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Ferris officiating. Interment will follow in Sardis Cemetery.

Mrs. White was born on April 7, 1927, to Ransom and Tennie Vaughn Young. She was a member of First Baptist Central Church of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and she was a homemaker.
Addie Lee is survived by her daughter, Bettye Higginbotham and husband, Charles, of Baton Rouge; and her son, Bobby White and wife, Dorothy; of Louisville. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Danny White and wife, Trena; and Robin Waxley and husband, Eric. She was “Grandma” to six great-grandchildren: Cole White, Brianna Waxley, Daniel Holloway, Nicholas Waxley, Dustin Waxley, and Alyssa Waxley; and one great-great-grandson, Kayson Waxley. Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband, R. A. White; her parents; two sisters, Ruby Jackson and Christine White; and two brothers, Grady Young and Junior Young.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Coward, Billy Higginbotham, Larry Higginbotham, Daniel Holloway, Dennis Ronyak, Eric Waxley, Cole White, and Danny White.
