Linda Dempsey

Linda Dempsey, 49, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, February 12, 2015, at her residence in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be Saturday, February 14, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 15, 2015, in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Haggard officiating.
Linda was born in Winston County on February 5, 1966, to Roger and Inez Sturch Dempsey. For 20 years she worked as a welder at Sylvester Welding in Louisville; and she had various other jobs over the years.

She is survived by her mother, Inez Dempsey; and two sisters, Lesa Wright and husband, Ricky; and Lori Dempsey all of Louisville. She is also survived by her niece and nephews: Britni Wright Stokes and husband, Jay; Tyler Wright and wife, Jennifer; Kenny Wright; and Allen Eaves. Even though Linda had no biological children, she was known to many as “Mom” or “Aunt Linda.” Linda is preceded in death by her father, Roger Dempsey.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be given to the Baptist Children’s Village, c/o Mark Mathis, 1159 Pickett Road, Louisville, MS 39339.
