Hazel W. Pearson

Hazel Worrell (Warrell) Pearson, 85, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015, in her Sulphur, Louisiana home. Visitation will be Thursday, February 19, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville. Visitation will also be from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home on Friday, February 20, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. in the Nowell-Massey Chapel. Interment will follow in Edgefield Cemetery in McCool, Mississippi.Hazel, a Louisville native, has resided in Sulphur since 1969. She was a retired Registered Nurse and a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Sulphur, Louisiana.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Hugh Pearson; mother and father, George Lee and Clara Hodge Worrell; brothers, Bennett Lee and James Aaron Worrell; and sister, Ruby Mae Scrivner.

Survivors include sisters, Hilda Dempsey of Louisville, Mississippi; Mary Frances (Fred) Breland of Hammond, Louisiana; Lucy (Joe) Johnson of Canton, MS; her brother, Roy (Dale) Warrell of Ridgeland, MS; and her beloved pet, Sadie. She also leaves to cherish her memory numerous nieces, nephews and the many children who called her “Aunt”.

Serving as pallbearers will be Billy Alexander, Fred Breland, Mark Breland, Mike Breland, Ralph Dempsey, Joe Johnson, Marty Scrivner, Joey Warrell, Ricky Warrell, and Roy Warrell.
