Marcia Burleigh

Marcia Burleigh, 92, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2014, at Louisville Healthcare Nursing Home in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be Sunday, November 9, 2014, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 10, 2014, in the Nowell Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Horton officiating. Interment will follow in Murphy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.She was born on December 3, 1921, to Edward and Edith Hollis Weatherill. Marcia was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Crossett, Arkansas. During World War II, she served as a nurse with the American Red Cross; later she was a homemaker.

Marcia is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Kuhn and husband, James, of Louisville; and two sons, Charles Burleigh and wife, Janie, of Ada, Oklahoma; and David Burleigh and wife, Dianne, of Vicksburg, Mississippi. She has six grandchildren: Shane Sullivan; Lance Sullivan and wife, Denise; Cortney Warren and husband, Matthew; William “Bill” Burleigh; Jason Burleigh, and Chris Burleigh; as well as, three great-grandchildren: Zander Warren, Cheyenne Warren, and Destiny Sullivan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Burleigh; her parents; and her brother, Phillip Weatherill.

Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Burleigh, David Burleigh, James Kuhn, Lance Sullivan, and Shane Sullivan.
