Ms. Wood was born on March 31, 1923, to William Quinn and Mary Warwick Denson. She was a member of First Baptist Church Louisville. She answered the call of her country by serving in the United States Navy during World War II.
Ms. Wood is survived by her daughter, Barbara Jean Wood of Louisville; and her son, Robert Denson Wood. She is also survived by her sister, Jean Denson Evans; and her daughter-in-law, Miriam Wood. She also leaves behind five grandchildren: Larry W. Guy, Karen W. McClaran, Jospeh H. Wood, Madeline W. Sherer, and Chrysten Wood; along with six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Clay Wood; and her parents.
