Alice L. Allbritton

Alice L. Allbritton, 87, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at her residence in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2014, in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Dowd and Rev. Franklin Smith officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home from 12 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Ms. Allbritton was born on September 20, 1927, to Luchin and Frances Collum Lett. She was a member of Indian Springs Assembly of God Church, and she worked as a private childcare provider and a homemaker.


Ms. Allbritton is survived by her son, Danny Allbritton of Louisville; and by two sisters, Minnie Kellum of Cleveland, Mississippi; and Pauline Holcomb of Black Hawk, Mississippi. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Catherine Lett and Johnnie Lett; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl B. Allbritton; her son, Jerry Douglas Allbritton; her parents; by four sisters, Effie Murphy; Mamie Walker; Juanita Lett; and Gladys Dearman; and by four brothers, Rev. Paul Lett; Charles Roscoe Lett; Andrew Lett, and John William Lett.




Serving as pallbearers will be Ernie Cox, Dwight Horton, Jimmy Horton, Johnny Luke, Dan Murphy, and David Reeves. Memorials may be given to Indian Springs Assembly of God Church.
