Elayna Cooper Terrell

Elayna Cooper Terrell, 44, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2014, at her residence in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2014, in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Bowie officiating. Interment will follow in Whitehall United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Elayna, born on January 8, 1970, was a member of Gardendale Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama; but after relocating to Louisville, she attended First Baptist Church of Louisville. She was a Nurse Anesthetist at Oktibbeha County Regional Hospital in Starkville.

Ms. Terrell is survived by her son, Trent Terrell; her parents, Joe and Elaine Smith Cooper; and her sister, Rhonda Cooper Prisock and husband, Tim, all of Louisville. She has three nieces, Lexi, Courtney, and Kayleigh Prisock of Louisville; and her grandmother, Louise Galloway of Gautier, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Ples and Nettie Smith; and Ryland “Bud” Cooper.

Serving as pallbearers will be I. W. Horton, Cully Hudspeth, Buster McAdory, Ferrell Rigby, Don Sisson, and Burr Warner. Memorials may be given to Whitehall United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Garvin Whitten, 5521 Highway 14 West, Louisville, MS 39339 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
