Loretta Lynn Blansett



Ms. Loretta Lynn Blansett, 49, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, April 13, 2014, at the University Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Skelton officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church Cemetery.
Ms. Blansett was born on August 15, 1964, to Mary Frances Culver Shumaker and James Shumaker. She was self-employed.
She is survived by her father, James Shumaker, of Pheba, Mississippi; her daughter, Jessica Clark McDaniel and husband Mitch, of Maben, Mississippi; his two sons, Billy Clark,III and wife Amy, of Potts Camp, Mississippi and Jonathan Blansett, of Pheba, Mississippi. Ms. Blansett is also survived by a sister, Lynn Brigance and husband Tim; two brothers, Eddie Shumaker and wife Johnice and Edward Shumaker and wife Stephanie, all of Pheba, Mississippi. She leaves behind five grandchildren: Ethan, Lexi and Karsyn Poole and Zoe and Zane Clark. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Frances Shumaker.
Serving as pallbearers are Randy Watkins, Hank Dempsey, Lee Coggin, Billy Hood, Joby Washington and Scott Johnson.
