Mrs. Miles was born on October 21, 1923, to Ura Mae Hancock Holton and Robert Henry Holton. She was a member of Union Ridge Baptist Church and she was a homemaker.
Survivors are her daughters, Shirley Swindle and husband, Wayne, of Noxapater; and Linda Faye York and husband, Greg, of Meridian, Mississippi. Mrs. Miles is also surrvived by her sister, Irene Matson; a sister-in-law, Lee Holton; and a brother-in-law, Roy Shepperd all of Noxapater. She has four grandchildren: Jay Swindle and wife, Lori; Wade Swindle and wife, Brandi; Paige Swindle, and Wayne Gregg and wife, Lisa; and four great-grandchildren, Josh Swindle; Jason Swindle; Kellie Swindle Clardy and husband, Brandon; and Austin Swindle; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Miles was preceded in death by her husband, Ester Miles; her parents; three sisters, Ollie Mae Reaves, Hazel Wylie, and Doris Shepperd; and three brothers, Dot, James, and Junior Holton .
Serving as pallbearers will be Jay Swindle, Wade Swindle, Josh Swindle, Jason Swindle, Wayne Gregg, and Scott Shepperd.
