Mrs. Geneva Stevenson, 82, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2013, at Choctaw Residential in Choctaw, Mississippi. Visitation will be Monday, April 15, 2013, from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home
in Louisville, Mississippi, and on Tuesday one hour prior to service at Hight Assembly of God Church in Noxapater, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Hight Assembly of God Church with Rev. Toby Halfacre and Rev. Eddie Agnew officiating. Interment will follow in Camp Ground United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Stevenson was born on August 17, 1930, to Plumer and Stella Thomas Stanley. She was a member of Hight Assembly of God Church and she was a homemaker.
Mrs. Stevenson is survived by five daughters: Anne Stanley and husband, Noble, of Noxapater; Brenda Laird of Pelahatchie, Mississippi; Vickie Sullivan of Florence, Mississippi; Nancy Berryhill and husband, Tol, of Richland, Mississippi; and Beth Collins and husband, Wiley, of Noxapater. She is also survived by two sisters, Flo Parker and Jane Stanley both of Louisville; and five brothers, Bill Stanley; Clyde Stanley and wife, Virginia; Bobby Stanley and wife, Edna; Jerry Stanley and wife, Frances; and Archie Stanley and wife, Sandra, all of Louisville. Mrs. Stevenson has 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Everett Stevenson; her daughter, Beverly Garrard; and her granddaughter, Tracy Mitchell.
Pallbearers will be Milton Stevenson, Floyd Stevenson, Joseph Stevenson, Sherlyn Stevenson, Ray Garrard, and Roger Garrard. Arrangements are under the direction of Nowell-Massey Funeral Home, 724 North Columbus Avenue, Louisville, MS.
