Danny White, age 65, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, died April 12, 2013, at DCH Hospital after a brief illness. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, and on Monday from12:30 until the time of the service. Services will be held on Monday, April
15, at 2 p.m., in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville, MS, with Dr. Gil McKee, pastor of First Baptist Church, Tuscaloosa, and the Rev. Jimmy Sartain of Nashville, TN officiating. Interment will follow in Ellison Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
Danny was a graduate of Nanih Waiya High School and Delta State University. He served as Minister of Music in several Mississippi Baptist Churches for 16 years. The remainder of his career was spent in insurance sales. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tuscaloosa. He enjoyed traveling, working in his yard, spending time with his family, and working on genealogy.
Danny is survived by his wife of 40 years, Pat Martin White; and two daughters, Mary Melinda and Kelley Claire all of Tuscaloosa. He is also survived by one brother, Billy M.White of Vicksburg, MS; three sisters, Judy Bell (Alvin) of Louisville, MS, Annabelle Glass of Louisville, MS, and Peggy White (Gayland) of Greenville, MS; and three sisters-in-law, Carolyn White of Aurora, CO, Mary Martin Morrow (Ralph) of Greenville, MS, and Bettye Martin Hill (Ron) of Cleveland, MS. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Edward and Virgie Flake White; four brothers, Carvel White, Hubert White, Truett White, and Charles White; and his mother-in-law, Mary Eugenia Martin.
