Sylvia Duckworth

Mrs. Sylvia Duckworth, 98, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013, at the Winston Medical Center Nursing Home in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until service time on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Billy M. King Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, in the chapel at Billy M. King Colonial Chapel with Rev. James Smith officiating. Interment will be in Collins City Cemetery.

Mrs. Duckworth was born on December 28, 1914, to Luther and Anna Herring Cammack. She was a retired registered nurse. She traveled extensively on every continent except Antarctica.

She was a faithful member of Collins First Baptist Church. Her hobbies included playing cards with her friends. She also enjoyed working in her yard, cooking, and sharing a good joke.

Mrs. Duckworth is survived by her sister, Dorothy Berg, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who cherish fond memories of her. She was preceded in death by her husbands, W. M. Duckworth, Jr. and Prentiss Jordan; her son, Martin Duckworth; her parents; two brothers; and two sisters.
