Buzz Crosby

Buzz Crosby passed away peacefully on April 15, 2012 with his wife of 49 years by his side. He was a native of Noxapater, Mississippi and resided in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for the past 19 years. Buzz graduated from East Central Junior College and Mississippi State University. He was a decorated Korean War Veteran and a Corporate Certified Public Accountant. At the time of his death he was employed by Gerry Lane Enterprises.He is survived by his wife, Anna Stuart Crosby; daughter Teresa Frank and husband Garry, two grandchildren, Kristen and Alex Frank and son, Greg Crosby.Buzz will be greatly missed by his family, work family and friends. He was known for his honesty and work ethic, his pleasure in cooking seafood dishes for his friends and family and most of all for his loyalty, generosity and love for his family.

He belonged to the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accounts, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Broadmoor Methodist Church.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff on the 5th floor at Our Lady of The Lake hospital and the staff at the Carpenter House for their care and support during the past month.

Buzz will be returning to his beloved Mississippi for burial.Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 11 a.m. from Old Pearl Valley Baptist Church in Neshoba County, MS with Rev. Bobby Waggoner officiating. Burial will follow in Old Pearl Valley Cemetery under the direction of McClain-Hays Funeral Home in Philadelphia, MS.
