James Kimble "Kim" Webb


Mr. James Kimble “Kim” Webb, 52, died Sunday, March 18, 2012, at his home in Louisville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 20th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Jerry Lawson officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Porter Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Kim was born July 17, 1959, in Louisville, MS. He was a 1977 graduate of Winston Academy, a graduate of East Central Community College, and received his B.S. degree from Mississippi State University. He had worked with the Louisville Police Department and was retired from the Miss. Public Service Commission and MDOT. He also worked with Weyerhaeuser Corporation. He loved sports from an early age and was second in the nation in the Punt, Pass, & Kick contest in the 6th grade. He played football at Winston Academy and was on the academy’s first state championship team in 1975, and played football while at EC. He was previously the softball coach at Winston Academy. Kim loved to hunt, and was a member of Little Noxubee Hunting Club, served on the shooting staff of PSE bows, and was a firearms instructor for the Midsouth Institute of Self Defense Shooting. He was a member of Enon Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Ackerman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Doris Humphries Webb and Dwight Webb.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Bobbye Kilpatrick Webb of Louisville; a daughter, Jessica Webb of Louisville; and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
