Mr. Chris Elliott, 38, of Preston, Mississippi, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2011, in Florence,Mississippi. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi, on Saturday, November 26, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at Harmony Baptist Church on Sunday from 1 p.m. until service time. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 27, 2011, at Harmony Baptist Church in Louisville,Mississippi, with Rev. Jerry Lundy officiating. Interment will be in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Elliot was born April 11, 1973. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, and he was an electrician and was a member of NECA-IBEW Local 480.
In addition to his wife, Lara Elliott, Mr. Elliott is survived by two daughters: Candace Thornton of Preston,Mississippi, and Alex Moody of Melbourne, Arkansas. He is also survived by three sons: Adam Elliott of Melbourne,Arkansas, Steven Thornton of Preston, Mississippi, and Jake Moody also of Melbourne, Arkansas. In addition, Mr. Elliott is also survived by his parents, David and Sandra Pennington Elliott of Columbus, Mississippi; as well as, his father and mother-in law, J. W. and Joan Holdiness of Louisville, Mississippi. Also, Mr. Elliott is survived by his sister, Lauren Kelly and husband, Brian, of Columbus, Mississippi, and his grandmother, Beatrice Pennington of Caledonia,Mississippi.
Pallbearers will be Jeffery Grimshel, E. C. Fortenberry, Johnny Holdiness, Joey Holdiness, Lester Holdiness, Steve Simpson, Brian Kelly, and Willie Smith.
