Mrs. Audra Doris Johnson Smith, 72, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2011, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, Mississippi. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi, on Thursday, August 11, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, August 12, 2011, from 10 a.m. until service time. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 12, 2011, at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville, Mississippi, with Rev. Rob Faulk and Rev. Trent Jaudon officiating. Interment will follow in Jessamine Cemetery in Ridgeland, Mississippi, with graveside services at 3:30 p.m. Born on March 12, 1939, to William and Annell Humphreys Perkins, Mrs. Smith was a retired bookkeeper and a member of South Louisville Baptist Church.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Billy Jack Smith of Louisville, Mississippi; two daughters: Regina Scott of Fulton, Mississippi, and Ericka Myers and husband, Phil, of Madison, Mississippi; a stepdaughter, Penny Hillhouse and husband, Johnny, of Decatur, Mississippi; two sons: Rodney Johnson and wife, Erma, of Summit, Mississippi, and Marv Johnson of Bentonia, Mississippi; four stepsons: Mitch Smith and wife, Anne, of Tupelo, Mississippi; Hal Smith, Jeff Smith, and Coby Smith all of Louisville, Mississippi; a sister, Betty Lou Definbaugh and husband, Terry, of Jackson, Mississippi; a brother, James Perkins and wife, Lois, of Houma, Louisiana; five grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren, and 10 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Johnson and grandson, Shane Hillhouse.
