Gailya Bright Howard

Gailya Bright Howard, 77, passed away on March 31, 2011 at her residence in Sturgis. She was a homemaker and member of Big Creek Methodist Church and a member of Bradley Homemakers Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Rube Bright and Stella Mae Fulgham Bright and sister, Molly Jeffries. She is survived by her husband, William R. (Bill) Howard of Sturgis; daughter, Marsha D’Boni (Dave) of Gautier; sons, Derrell Fulgham (Charlotte) of Symsonia, Ky., Bill Howard (Denise) of Starkville, and Gary Howard of Gautier; sister, Jackie James of Starkville; grandchildren, Brian Fulgham, Colby Howard; Adam Fulgham, Presley Howard, Amanda Eekhof, Jennifer Heath and Dylan Howard and six great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Howard is scheduled for Friday, April 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 2, at 10 a.m. at Big Creek Methodist Church in Sturgis. Burial will be in the Big Creek Methodist Church Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Palmer Home for Children.
