Velia Homer Adcock

Mrs. Velia Homer Adcock, 90, died Monday, January 17, 2011, at Winston County Nursing Home in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, Jan. 18th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Chris Vowell officiating. Interment will be in Good Hope Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 2:30 PM until service time at Porter Funeral Home. Mrs. Adcock was born January 18, 1920, in Winston County, MS. She was a homemaker and a member4 of Good Hope Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Adcock, a son, David Adcock, and her parents, Elizabeth & Henry C. Goodin, Sr. She is survived by four brothers, Bob Goodin, Jack Goodin, Riley Goodin, and Henry C. Goodin, Jr., all of Louisville, and a number of nieces and nephews.
