Mrs. Rosamond, 81, died Sunday, October 17, 2010 at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian. She was a native of Winston County and a long time resident of the Nanih Waiya and Preston communities. She was retired from Nemanco in Philadelphia as an inspector. Mrs. Rosamond was Baptist by faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon L. Rosamond; son, Leon Rosamond; and granddaughter, Cindy Shelton.
Survivors include daughters, Dot Robertson of Preston, Ruth Luke of Preston, Glenda Shelton of Millbrook, AL, and Brenda Agent of Preston; sons, Joe Rosamond of Millbrook, AL and Johnny Rosamond of Shuqualak; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Christine Overstreet of Vancleave, Kitty Ruth Overstreet of Vancleave, Willow Dean Warren of Preston, and Imogene Sullivan of Preston; brother, Rejune "Son" Green of Vancleave; and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families.
