Spiva Keene, 86, passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Winston Medical Center in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi, on Monday, September 20, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 20, 2010 at the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Old Mars Hill Cemetery with Rev. Paul Blanchard officiating. He was born to James Wylie and Elizabeth Cummins Keene on June 24, 1924. Mr. Keene answered the call of his country during World War II to serve in the United States Army.
Mr. Keene is survived by his wife, Janie Bennett Keene and a daughter, Shelia S. Keene of Flowood, Mississippi. He was retired from Georgia Pacific Corporation and was a member of Hinze Baptist Church.
