Doris Elaine Boydston

Mrs. Doris Elaine Triplett Boydstun, 84, died Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, at her home in Louisville. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Monday, Sept. 6th, 2010, at First Baptist Church, with Dr. Brett Golson officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday at Porter Funeral Home. Mrs. Boydstun was born October 27, 1925, in Brooksville, MS, the daughter of Doris Harper and Howard Hastings Triplett, Sr. She attended MSCW and was a graduate of the University of Mississippi, where she was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. She was a member of First Baptist Church, the Louisville Junior Auxiliary, and the Music Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Osborn Boydstun; a son, Philip Marshall Boydstun; a son-in-law, Cavett Taff; and a brother, Howard Hastings “Buddy” Triplett, Jr. She is survived by a daughter, Carol Taff of Jackson, MS; a son, Tommy (Leah) Boydstun of Louisville; a sister, Barbara Triplett Reid of Dallas, TX; and seven grandchildren.
