James Arthur (Sonny) Wade

Mr. James Arthur “Sonny” Wade, 70, died Friday, May 14, 2010 at the V. A. Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 17, 2010, at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, with Rev. Dewitt Cutts officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday at Porter Funeral Home in Louisville, MS. Mr. Wade was born September 9, 1939, in Madison County, MS. He was a mechanic, and a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corp. He is survived by his son, Robin Scott Wade of Weir, MS; a sister, Wilma Thornton of Brandon; a brother, William Ray Wade of Brandon; 5 grandchildren: Tonya Bates, Robyn Mitchell, Shannon Pearson, Chance Wade, and Brittany Wade; 7 great grandchildren: Memory Mitchell, Dalton Bates, Hunter Bates, Timothy Berry, Diane Berry, Autumn Pearson, and Peyton Pearson; his companion of many years, Yvonne Smith; step-children, Jennifer Keith, Traci Smith, and Savanna Smith; and 3 step-grandchildren, Ryan Keith, Emily Keith, and Brayden Edgar.
