Mr. Clifford D. “Butch” Whitt, resident of Memphis, TN, was born February 2, 1948 in Louisville, MS, died May 3, 2010 in Biloxi, MS at the age of 62. Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 8, 2010 from Porter Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Joe Stevens Caldwell officiating, with internment at Memorial Park in Louisville.
He is survived by his wife Mary Anne Caldwell of Memphis, TN, daughter Emily D. (Jon) Aull, Westfield, IN, Mother, Wydell Davis Childs, Louisville, MS, stepson, Benjamin Lee “Thumper” Tutt IV, Memphis, TN, grandchildren Abigail Elaine and Marshall Davis Cornelius, Dothan, AL, Olivia Jean and J. Emerson Whitt Aull, Westfield, IN, Uncle, Orris (Marie) Davis Louisville, MS, and Mitchell (Lois Jean) Davis, Pensacola, FL, Mother in Law, Mrs, Faye Caldwell, Olive Branch, MS and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Junie E. and Inez Mitchell Davis.
He was a graduate of Louisville High School in 1966 and attended Mississippi State University. He was a long time employee of Taylor Machine Works. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and driving his red pick up truck with Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Florida Gators and Memphis Tigers decals displayed on the tailgate. He loved people, greeting people, and never met a stranger. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He loved animals, including his two dogs, Elvis and Sadie.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Memphis Humane Society or the American Diabetes Association.
