Margie Mae Slaughter McCune was born on November 18, 1929 in Union, Mississippi. On Thursday, March 25, 2010, God called her home. She was the fifth of nien siblings born to the late Barney and Ethel Slaughter. Her parents, Sisters, (Cleo Slaughter Hewlett and Birdie Slaughter Redmond) and brothers, (Bobbie and tommy Lee Slaughter) preceded her in death.
